I don't want anyone to lose their job but the collapse of the economy has many side benefits, including: people re-evaluating how they consume, travel, work and play. Oft times, being thrifty is completely in tune with living a more sustainable lifestyle. Oh, and in certain parts of the country there are plenty of empty swimming holes behind foreclosed houses to spend all that unemployed free time in. Let's hope Obama doesn't fix things too quickly. There's a lot to learn and plenty of filth to wallow in at the moment.
