Handala

I used to wear a Handala T-shirt years ago when I lived in Bahrain after I randomly found it in my bedroom one day. Perhaps an Arab friend had left it at my house... who knows... Intially, I just liked the little cartoon lad with no idea what or who he symbolized, then someone commended me on my support of the people of Palestine. I didn't know much about Palestine at that point and that was the impetus for educating myself. And now, here we are decades later waiting with bated breath for the UN to recognize a Palestinian state, no thanks to Obama...
