They are methods of re-connecting with our primal instincts and reminding us that as human beings we are interconnected with everything else. Authentic art breaks through the artificial construct of time and enhances the inhibited perceptions of civilized man. While art is symbolic and not direct experience itself, it can still offer glimpses of what we once knew and perhaps point us towards an existence where it will no longer be neccesary. Because for most of our existence, it was not.
