Anyway, skateboarding like sneezing, the orgasm and meditation is widely understood by spiritual scholars to be one of the fleeting times in Samsara that the tormented schmuck is really in tune with the universe. It is not merely an escape from school, the factory or the office. Rather it is a head-on collision with reality (sometimes literally), when one's mind rejects past regrets and anxiety of the future and only hears the bark of pool coping. Each grind shakes us awake, parts the clouds and shines a little bit more light. Hit the lip hard but don't forget to roll away.
